Amazing Secrets You don’t Know about Honey.
Do you know that honey is a food made by bees for themselves? Do you know that to produce a pound of honey requires about 60,000 bees traveling up to 55, 000 miles and stopping by more than 2 million flowers to collect enough nectar?
After collection of nectar, they store it in their extra stomach where it is mixed with enzymes and passed to another bee’s mouth by bringing out swallowed nectar back into the mouth. Eventually, it is processed and digested into the honeycomb where the honey bees fan the nectar liquid with their wings till it evaporates into the water and turn into a thick substance that becomes “Honey”. Amazing, right?
Can you see why honey is a food made by bees for themselves? However, over the years it has become what humans enjoy. Thus, Honey is a liquid syrup produced by honeybees from plant nectar with different smells, colors, and tastes depending on the flower it was produced from.
