Someone once asked me “is chocolate cake the same as Black forest cake”? No it’s not the same. I will be sharing with you an easy recipe on how to make Black Forest Cake with Whipped Cream Ganache right from your kitchen. Trust me when i say ‘this is a perfect cake for any and every occasion’.
Prepare your 8″ cake pan, grease it with some melted butter and sprinkle some flour on it or preferably place in some parchment paper at the base of the pan.
In a bowl separate yolks from the egg white. In the bowl containing the egg yolks whisk the egg yolks with a ballon whisk till well beaten.
Into step 2 add vegetable oil, water and vanilla. Whisk the mixture together till is well combined.
Add in your 1/2 cup of sugar into step 3, whisk mixture together till it fizzles.
Into step 4, add in your flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and baking powder. Whisk everything together with a ballon whisk till it is well combined.
In a Separate Bowl containing the egg whites, beat the egg whites with an electric hand mixer till it forms a soft peak (till is thickened).
Into step 6, gradually add the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar. Beat with an electric hand mixer till it is well incorporated and thicken.
Gently fold in egg white mixture into batter(step 5) till it is well blended. (Do this in 2 or 3 addition)
Pour cake batter into your prepared pan and bake for 30-35mins. your cake is ready when a toothpick is inserted in the center and it comes out clean.
